Okay, so if we get enough followers that are involved with our blog, we can start hosting contests! We will have different games and puzzles for you to solve and you can win prizes. 20 Pretty Girls

Okay so today I was seeing if I could find our blog just by typing the name into Google. (But I couldn't :( ) And so I typed in 'girl inspiration' and do you know what one of the first websites to pop up was? "20 pretty girls for inspiration" And it had pictures of models and everything. This is the kind of stuff that made us start this blog in the first place. I mean, they make you think you have to look like them to be pretty and you don't. They make you think you have to have this hair, and this makeup, and these clothes when you don't. Oh, and next time you look at a model's picture and think that they are pretty, just remember that they take about 30 of the same picture and take the best parts of each and put them together...so even the models don't look like their pictures! They also air brush them and all of this other junk.

Healthy Snacks

So who doesn't like junk food right? But we can't eat it all the time if we want to be healthy. (There is a difference between skinny and healthy.) So here are some good ideas for healthy snacks:
*Cheese or peanut butter on crackers (not the kind that come in packages, make it yourself, because it's healthier.)
*Grapes, strawberries, and slices of bananas mixed together. (you can use whatever fruit you want)
*Toast with peanut butter
*Bread with goat cheese
*Mixes of nuts like peanuts, almonds, and walnuts.
*Steamed veggitables with just a little bit of butter and salt or cheese (not too much!)

There are also lots of other great snack ideas. Please post if you have any good ideas you would like to share!

Economy

So the economy....for a lack of a better word, sucks. We all know it and we all experience it differently. Some people maybe both of their parents lost jobs, or other familys might just be cutting back on what they do and buy. But don't let the economy bring you down and ruin your fun. Can't afford the movies? Invent a new game to play at home. Can't afford new clothes? Look at it as a way to experiment with the clothes you have. Have to get a job to help with bills? So you are getting experience for the future. There is always something possitive about every situation, and I know people tell you that all the time, but i'm not trying to be cheesey or anything it's true. So please comment and share your stories.

Clothes

So I will admit that I watch Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel. It's a good show and they have super cute clothes, and that is how this topic got started. I have looked up clothes that Selena Gomez wears in the show, and a tank top is like $60 dollars! It's insane. What normal person shops for stuff like that?! So hear is what you do if you are like most of the population:
You can buy super cheap things like tank tops and such at places like Walmart or Kmart. So i know that's not classy, and i'm not saying get all of your clothes there, but they are good places to get cheap little things that can pull a whole outfit together. And then there is the mall with it's Hollister and Fossil stores that charge way to much. But then you have places like Charlotte Russe that has super cute clothes that aren't too expensive. Some of there stuff is more than I will pay, but a lot of it is reasonably priced. And if you have a friend that is the same size as you, trade clothes with them that you have gotten tired of and you both get "new" stuff to make new outfits out of. It's super easy and fun. You can do sooo much with what you already have too. Most people don't realize it, but they have a lot more options than what they normaly wear. And don"t be afraid to mix contrasting colors or designs, because a lot of the time they end up looking good together. So just try new stuff and you will see how much you can do with the money you have!

Skincare

So it's super important that you take care of your skin when you are young, and even after you are older. If you don't it can cause all kinds of damage to your skin now, and later. I'm not saying to  go out and buy $60 creams and ani-aging stuff when you're older, but just general care. Wash your face 2 times a day and use lotion. I alternate between face scrubs and moisturizers. I also put face lotion every night before I go to bed. It makes your skin feel and look so much better. It's really good if your face lotion has SPF in it because then you also get protection from the sun even if it's winter and you're not thinking about sunburns. I also put body lotion on, but not everday. And for people who like coat their faces in foundation and coverup, that it's good for your skin. I'm not saying to stop, but somedays don't wear it, and at night makesure you wash it off REALLY well because if not, your pours get clogged and your skin gets greasy and it's not good. Anyways, skincare is super important at our ages, so if you're not doing it, start today!

Makeup

Well I know we said we wouldn't talk about makeup and all that, but this isn't the kind of stuff were we are like "Okay, go buy this or you will never be pretty." We are just expressing our point of veiws for and against some makeups.Okay, so what girl doesn't like makeup? Some may not like it as much as others, but the love for it is still there all the same. And so why are makeup brushes sooooo expensive?! I saw one the other day for $50! Who would spend that much on a brush? And some eyeshadows are $35 for just ONE color! I really like Almay and other things like that that are designed for your eye color. They aren't expensive either. If you have some colors and not others, mix and blend the ones you have for more colors if you are short of cash and can't buy any. A lot of people don't wear makeup, and they still look really pretty. So why do magazines want you to buy all of there stuff? Because they lie to you and hire people to write articles that make you feel like you need it. It's sick what they do, so if you don't like bothering with makeup, don't. There is not point in doing something that you don't want to do because other people want you to.

Mean People

Okay great title, I know. :) But I was thinking about how many people are rude and inconsiderate to adults and other people. I mean, would it kill them to say "excuse me" when they bump into you or not backtalk when a teacher gets them into trouble. I mean it's really pathetic if you think about it. Do they think they are too cool for it? It drives me nuts! It makes you look bad and nobody wants to be your friend. Exept for the fact, that a lot of people at my school are like that so they all get along and for this like mop of mean people, for a lack of better words. Well I don't have much more to say on the subject, I just really want to hear your oppinions!

Questioning?

I often start to think about God and the Bible. I get to thinking about how many contradictions there are in the Bible. I mean, God wants people to believe in Him, but He gives people the choice to believe in something else. And there are so many more like this. Don't think that I'm like against what the Bible says or anything, but it's confusing. I mean, even just reading the Bible makes my head hurt because it's sooooo confusing and full of information. Well I want your oppinions,

Laughing

I love laughing, but who doesn't? Scientists call it "inner jogging" because it exorcises your internal muscels. Some people say that laughing will cause wrinkles, but who cares?! I mean, don't you want to be able to be pround of your wrinkles when you're old? You'll be able to look at them and remember your great childhood. And I'm not even sure if there is a study that proves that laughing causes wrinkles. You use less muscels when you smile then when you frown andways! I love laughing, and there is nothing that would make me want to stop.

Construction Sights

When driving or walking around, I always see construction sights. However, I've noticed that nobody is EVER working on it. There is always all of this big ugly metal equipment out just laying around for the whole world to see, but nobody is useing it to do whatever it is they are supposed to be doing! I know they don't work on Sundays, but it also seems like their hours during the week are 12:00-2:00! They never seem to be working. What are they doing with the rest of their time? Everyone else is out working, but them? Noooo....
I'm not trying to offend anyone who works or knows someone who works on construction sights, this is just my oppinion. And because they only seem to work a couple hours a day, the ugly construction equipment is laying out for months! It just seems like if they really wanted the job done and over with, they would work a little bit harder.

Foreign Languages

I was sitting next to a little girl the other day who was speaking German, and I got to thinking, how does she concect the words she's saying to what they accually mean? But I'm sure someone thinking German thinks the same thing. I mean, when I hear someone say "tree" i think of a tree...common sense, right? But when someone who is...say Spanish, says "arbol" how do they know that means tree also? It's just because they've grown up knowing that, and I've grown up knowing english, but it's a weird topic to think about in my oppinion. And then if you think past that one person who is speaking German, to the people who taught them, and so on, it's weird, because our languages have been passed on for years and years. Who made them up? And how did they make them up? If i discovered something new, I'd have no idea what to call it. I don't know...it's just interesting to me. I attemoted to learn Spanish, and it was really hard, so how do people learn english when it is ranked 2nd hardest language in the world?!?!

Little Birds

This post isn't so much about my oppinions this time, but something that I just really enjoyed today. I was sitting on a bench by a lake near my house, when a bunch of little English Sparrows flew in and started hopping on the ground around my feet. I was eating carmel corn, and so I assumed that's what they wanted. So I started crumbleing some of it up and tossing it out to them. Then I started to just hold it in my hand and about 5 of them would fly up at a time and sit on my hand and eat! I was so excited but shocked the first time, so I grabbed my hand back. Then I started holding it out again and when they flew up, I was ready. ;) It was so much fun! I was laughing the entire time. They also started hopping up my arms and legs! They were so cute! Then, on top of that, when I had used up the rest of my carmel corn on the birds, I walked to the edge of the lake and there were 3 little ducklings! They were so cute! And they were so small, probably on one of their first real swims around the lake. Some really big fish started simming up to the top of the water too and I liked watching them look for food. Occasionally they would bite at one of the ducklings flippers, but then realize they couldn't eat it. I was still sooo worried for them! Poor duckies! I just thought I'd share my interaction with the animals to you guys!

What is the Point of War?

I would just like to say that I am against war. I personally, don't see a point to it. I know, a lot of people disagree with me, but that's okay, this is my opinion.
Every country has its own problems and it's own things that it can improve, so why waiste your countries recources on war. You are putting your country farther and farth into the whole and making it harder and harder to get out. Every country has etter things to spend their time, people, and money on. I think each country should stick to themselves!
Don't get me wrong, I really appriciate are countries soldiers. We owe them our freedom. If it weren't for them, we probably wouldn't be here today. However, if we got rid of war, every country would be free to do it's own thin with it's own people. I'm not saying we can't help other countries if they are in need because of a bad leader or something, but mostly the government should stick to helping their own country. A lot less soldiers would die or be separated from their families and some coutries wouldn't be in constant fear of their people dieing. War is a really complicated topic, because their are ton of facts that help support protagonists and antagonists.

Over Texting

We love texting, who doesn't? ;) But there is a point when you go too far with texting. I text on the school bus, because there is nothing else to do, but I don't carry my phone around all the time. I know people who carry their cells to the bathroom with them! That's just pathetic! I've also heard people say "Nobody will text me back!" and all I can say is "Get a life!" I mean really, you don't constantly have to be talking to your friends. You can do other stuff! Get up and go outside or something! I also think it's really rude when people text while I'm talking to them. Because they pay attention and then they get a text and I keep talking and they look up and say, "What?" It makes me mad! And people text in school too, can they really not go that long? And then they say they don't understand the homework...I WONDER WHY?!?!?!?!?!

North Korea

I've resently learned a lot about North Korea, and it's horrible! They are so strict, but that hardly tells you how bad it is! They hardly EVER let American's in. (I watched a video of this girl who was their to learn about it, and she's learned that she was the only American in the country!) They practically brain wash their people into thinking their leader in this great "God" figure. Instead of learning the ABC's in kindergarten, they learn how to praise their leader! They also teach children songs about how horrible American's are. Please check out this video, because it's hard for me to totally make you understand how bad it is there.

Hobbies

Hobbies are a great way to spend time, meet other people that enjoy the same things as you, and to just have fun! There are sooo many different kinds of hobbies too. You don't have to do a sport or a collection. Those are great ones to do, but you can knit, (Which I will admit is accually really fun ;) ride horses, volunteer, read, write, scrap book, or blog! This has become my favorite past time, now find one for yourself! You just have to think about what you really like to do. Do you enjoy animals? cooking? writing? walking? nature? Just find it and do it!

Ghosts?

Do you believe in ghosts? I don't. At leaste, I don't believe someone's soul can be trapped on earth and they can't harm you physically or mentally. It's just not possible for a soul to just float around. Are you going to tell me about all of those ghost hunting shows? Those are so easy to make up, I could make them! In my oppinion, after someone or something dies they go to heaven or hell. It's just that, and that's it. They can't stay here for ever haunting houses and possesing people. It's not possible!

Facebook/Myspace

Facebook, Myspace, and all of those social networking sites are fun, don't get me wrong, but you have to be super careful with them. Colleges look at what you have on them, so if you have dumb videos and pictures of you holding a beer can or something then they might not accept you. You also have to be careful with your privacy setting. Because if you have it set on "anybody" than really ANYBODY can see it. One of my friends used to have one until she found out that there were 7 other people on facebook that were trying to "be her" by saying they went to the same school and everything. Also if you have it set on "friends of friends" then what if one of your friends adds anybody who asking them, then all of those random people can see where you live and all of that. So just be careful what you post, and just to be safe, like I do, don't put things like your zip code, school, home town, and things that will make it easy for someone to find you!

Silverware

Ok, so we went out to eat the other day and I held up my fork and said, "I know that they clean their silverware and all, but isn't it kind of gross to think about how hundreds of other people put their mouth on this same fork I'm useing?" I mean really, can a dishwasher really kill ALL of those germs? It's just kind of gross to talk about because those are a lot of mouths of people you don't know. Anyways, just thought I'd share this thought I had with you guys!

Escape into a Book

I love reading, but what I love most, is the fact that I can imagine it all in my head. Some people hate reading, but I've never understood why. Books can show you worlds that we can never experience. Movies are great, but they don't let you imagine and create everything as you want it. Books can show you a world of wonder, and escaping into them can take you from a hike up Mount Everest to a extrordinary world of fairies and magic. Books open your eyes to new ideas and they let you grow as a person. Your mind can have new doors opened for it, and you can connect to the characters in a way that can let you feel what they feel, and you can feel for them as if you are a part of the book.
Don't even tell me that you hate reading because you can't find a book that "interests you." There are thousands...millions of books out there, so there is no way you have read them all! There is a book that fits everybody. Books show you another world, but you have to be the one to pick them up.

Power of the Mind

It hurts my head to think about the power of it. Just at the mention of the human body,I could go into so much detail about how I am facinated with what God has created. However, I'll save that for another post. The Mind: nobody really understands it. Sure, I mean, you could say brain surgeons understand it, but they just understand how to fix it. They don't understand it necessarily as a whole. How is it possible to remember things that happened when we were 2 years old, or how can the brain comprehend and reason? It's so complex I'm having a hard time righting about it. :) It just astounds my every second of my life. How are we able to think up things that never happened, or how we can learn and grow as a person? It just...I don't know...but I love talking about it. I'm glad people havn't figured this kind of thing out though. Because if they had, what would we spend time thinking about?

How can Space go on Forever?

We have often thought about how people say space goes on forever. We have gotten into this topic mutiple times, and it lasts for hours. I mean, how CAN it just go on forever? We havn't been past our solar system, so how do we know it just continues on? It just doesn't make sence, nothing goes on forever. Not life, not string, not the day, or a book. Ok, so numbers go on forever, but how can that be? Are people still making up the numbers that coninue the line of numbers? Has the government hired someone to think up what to call the new sets of numbers? Even numbers have come to an end even though people say they continue on forever, because nobody has come up with enough of them to go on forever. So really, something has to be past space. It's not possible, from my view, for it to just continue.
When I was little I used to think that people, and all of the planets were inside of a snowglobe that some other kid had that lived in a world so much bigger then ours, but then he must be in a snowglobe too, right? However I know that that thought makes no sense now. Anyways, see what I mean? This topic could fuel a conversation forever! (But how would the conversation really go on forever? Kind of redundant to what I was just talking about, huh??)

Chicken or the Egg?

Which came first: the chicken or the egg? Most people don't share my opinion that the chicken was first, but really? How would the egg survive without the chicken? I mean, I know it sounds dumb, but doesn't the chicken have to sit on the egg to get it to survive? It's not like they had incubators back at the beginning of life! I know a lot of people woud say: "Well don't chickens hatch from eggs?" The answer is yes, but where does the egg come from? It doens't just go "POOF!" and appear. So, if one or the other had to come first, it only makes sense for the chicken to come first. I mean, just think about it. In the Bible it says that God put two of each animal on the earth to reproduce, soooo the chickens came first!!! And then they layed the egg. (not while they were teenagers ;))!

Teen Pregnancy

I've always been a strong believer in saving sex for marriage, but why do so few people share that same belief? A lot of people have kids at our school. (probably 20 kids have kids.)I don't understand why they can't wait for marriage. And those aren't the only kids, there are a lot of other kids who have done it, but didn't get pregnant. I just don't get why you wouldn't see the problem and danger that comes with what you are doing. I mean, you hear about it all the time from health teachers, you'd think they'd get the message. And the terrible thing about it is, that those kids who have their own kids, are probably kids of parents who did the same thing. So the same trend continues down the family until the grandma is only 30 years older than her granddaughter. It's just really sad that people do that to themselves at such a young age.
I also think that when people say "not as many people are having sex as it seems," they are wrong. That many people ARE doing it. When they get surveys, i think a lot of them lie on them, because those numbers seem a lot less than my calculations...
