I love reading, but what I love most, is the fact that I can imagine it all in my head. Some people hate reading, but I've never understood why. Books can show you worlds that we can never experience. Movies are great, but they don't let you imagine and create everything as you want it. Books can show you a world of wonder, and escaping into them can take you from a hike up Mount Everest to a extrordinary world of fairies and magic. Books open your eyes to new ideas and they let you grow as a person. Your mind can have new doors opened for it, and you can connect to the characters in a way that can let you feel what they feel, and you can feel for them as if you are a part of the book.
Don't even tell me that you hate reading because you can't find a book that "interests you." There are thousands...millions of books out there, so there is no way you have read them all! There is a book that fits everybody. Books show you another world, but you have to be the one to pick them up.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. I'm just getting sick of all of the vampire nonsense. there is no creativeness or imagination behind it...stuff like harry potter and eragon....now there we go. ;)
I can't agree more! Vampires are so dumb now and all the stories have the same plot! Thanks for posting!!!

hahah np. just glad to see that at least one person actually agrees w/ me...
ReplyDeleteSomeone should write a book about a bunch of Frankensteins and about a girl who is a human but a guy is "secretly" Frankenstein...then they fall in love...and he shows her to his Frankenstein family. I swear, if Stephenie Meyer wrote something like that, everyone would buy it...our generation, these days...*sigh*
I know!! Vampires are so overated now. It's annoying!
ReplyDeleteYea, and even though twilight and those were good, now there are sooo many other books trying to become the "next twilight." It's lame
