Late Night Creatures

So my absolute BEST friend and I decided to dress up the other night.
And did we ever.
We dressed up in the craziest outfits we could find and started walking around the neighborhood in the dark. I had black boots on and one of them was giving me a blister...so I took it off, only adding to how strange I looked. As some cars drove by I would turn and start chasing them. That was fun, and probably creepy for them. (: We received these awesome remarks:
*honking*
"What the heckkk??"
"Hahaha!"
"Nice..."
So that was a nice way to end the hard school week.
(I hope to get the pictures up soon so you can get the full affect....effect? I don't know which one to use..)

Bean Festival

So I went to this thing called the Bean Festival. It was supposed to be a lot of garage sales, which it was. I was really excited because garage sales are great places to buy jewlery, but there wasn't much. And a lot of the stuff was cheap, like things that they bought at a dollar store and tried to re-sell. So it was kind of disappointing. I bought a pair of ear rings and some chocolate chip cookies. Haha, it was fun, just not what I expected. And it wasn't worth driving an hour to go to it.

Infomercials

Everyone knows about infomercials. Comercials with way too much time, allowing them to tell you every little detail about said product. And most people cringe at the sound of 'infomercial' because they are pretty much hated by all. So, tell me. Why is it then, that if we turn the TV on and there is an infomercial on, we don't change the channel or turn the TV off in pure horror? I can't tell you why. But I can tell you that I waisted an hour of my weekend learning all there is to know about a blender.

31 Jackets

I have about 35 jackets actually...so this will work just fine. I kind of have an obsession with jackets, cardigans, sweat shirts, you name it. I LOVE them. They are a great accessory and they also keep you warm :) So what I've decided to do is take on a project this December. Starting December 1st and going through to December 31, I will wear a different Jacket every day! I will be posting a picture everyday (or whenever I have the chance) of the jacket I wore that day. I've seen other people do similar things and it always looked fun. I'm waiting for December and may even push it back to January because I want to wait until my blog is popular so that I don't just post it and no one looks at it. :P Well, I'll post more about it as it gets closer to the starting time. Until then, I hope you have fun reading my blog. :)
P.S. If my blog is really popular maybe we could do something where people can donate money to a cause. I'll wear a different jacket everyday for a certain charity (we can all pick one together) and we can all try to raise money for it. I don't know...we'll just have to see.

Forcing Compliments

Okay...what I don't understand is why people force compliments about themselves out of other people. Don't say you don't do it, everyone does. I do it, you do it, your neighbor does it, your gym teacher does it...everyone. I just don't know why. When we want compliments about something that we're wearing or something we've done, then we insult it as a way to get people to say nice things. We know they are just saying to make us feel better, so why do all of these fake compliments make us feel better? If you don't understand what I'm talking about..here's an example:
"Did you write the short story for English?"
"Yea...but it's horrible."
"Oh, I'm sure it's good."
"No...it's really bad...I hate it."
"No, it's good."
"Thanks...but I still don't like it."
We tend to do things like this even if we don't 'hate it'. So I'm trying to figure out why. I would think that real compliments that people wanted to say on there own would make us feel better....even if they are few and far between. More so than fake compliments that several people give you because you practically forces them to. Oh.. and one of my favorite conversations to here is when two people are both trying to get compliments out of the other so neither of them are getting what they want because each one is only focused on themselves:
"My short story is horrible..."
"So is mine...it's awful."
"No...like, mine is terrible. I want to burn it."
"Yea me too, if anyone reads it I might die of embarrassment."
Crazy right? But we all do it! At least I know I do...and everyone I know does it. I guess we just crave compliments. Maybe I should do a study on it for my psychology class....?

Drug Dogs

Recently there were drug dogs in my school. I was actually reall excited. Not only are people with drugs going to get caught, but I also get to see the dogs themselves! I love animals so I was looking forward to it. However, I go to a big school so they couldn't check every room. So they didn't come into my classroom. :(   I not only didn't get to see them, but I didn't hear about anyone getting caught. Either way though, it was kind of exciting.

11/11/11 at 11:11

Alright. So this is a late post, but the time keeps getting away from me. Last month there was an awesome date of 11/11/11. And this date only comes around every 100 years. So I thought it was pretty cool. Also, I'm no sure if you've heard about this, but a lot of people have. When it is 11:11 AM or PM you are supposed to make a wish. So what about 11/11/11 at 11:11 (and 11 seconds)???? I made a wish, but of course I can't tell you :) I also took a pictures of myself, but I'm not going to upload it for two reasons. First of all, I'd like to keep my identity a secret. Second, it's 11:11 PM and I look really tired and horrible :) So yea...maybe you have your own picture of yourself to look at instead.

PAGES!

Okay, so I created a page called 'Photos' (That you can find at the top on this page) a long time ago. However, I could never figure out how to make it show up on the home screen so that you guys could actually find it! Thanks to the new Blogger layout though...it was really easy this time! And I even created another page called 'Top 10.' So head on over to those pages and check them out!

Something that bothers me...

It bothers me when people don't try in school. They just give up and take the easy way out. I do my homework, I study for tests, and I try my best. I have goals and I know everyone does, so why don't they show it? I have no idea! They have just decided to not even care. I know some people who give the excuse that they can't afford college. Anyone can afford college! You can get a job, get a loan, and if you try hard in school you can get a scholarship! It's a lot of money, but it can be done. So every time I think of taking the easy way out of my homework assignment, I just think of that and how I don't want to end up like those people who don't care and never try.

Christmas

I havn't posted in forever it seems like! So it seemed fitting to post something about Christmas because...well it just happened! I'm not going to talk about what I got, or what my friends got, or what I wish I got. I'm going to talk about the people who didn't get anything. There are kids in other countries and in my country (the USA) that don't get to have what we do. Some of them don't even get anything to eat on Christmas. I've done 'shoe-box' charities before and always makes me feel really good. I love the feeling of knowing that you are helping someone else. So next Christmas, on your next birthday, or even today, think about all of those kids who don't get what you get. Not just presents, but all of the daily things we take for granite. Then do something about it. Sign up for one of those 'sponser a child' programs or make a shoe box full of supplies other children need. That one little thing you do could change a childs life forever.
